Developing the next generation of cybersecurity experts

Club Activities

Cyber Competitions

Our cyber competition teams compete in national competitions every semester. Our flagship team, NCC-1701, has ranked first in the National Cyber League and competed in offline events such as Wicked6 and CyberSEED.

We hold hands-on workshops in UNR's Full Spectrum Cybersecurity Lab at least once a month. Stop by to learn about web penetration testing, reverse engineering, network scripting, and other cybersecurity topics.

Cyber Clinics

We hold Cyber Clinics to help improve community cybersecurity practicies. We've held Cyber Clinics at the Reno Air Races, the Governor’s Mansion, and the Attorney General’s Office.

Our meeting location is UNR's Full Specturm Cybersecurity Lab, located in LME 321. We use the lab computers for workshops and activities. The computers are not on the NetID system; please request an account at one of the general meetings.

The lab is typically open on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, except when classes are held (Fall 2020 times TBD).

We host at least one workshop each month in the FSC Lab. If you have an idea for a workshop or would like to create materials for a workshop please send us an email.

Guest Speaking

If you are interested in speaking to the club at one of our general meetings, please send us an email.
